Our Feline Program

          Give Us a High Five!

To humanely manage feral cat populations in the community, Paws Rescue started our “Operation Feral Feline Fix” Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) Program. Paws Rescue is trapping feral cats, spay or neutering them, and returning them to their colony where volunteers provide food and water and trap new arrivals to the colony. This helps reduce the number of feral cats in the area. Tame cats or kittens that are trapped are taken in my Paws Rescue, examined by a veterinarian, spayed/neutered, and placed in foster homes until they are adopted. As part of our “Spay It Forward” Program, we are offering low-cost spay/neuter surgeries for cats and kittens (when grant funds are available) for residents of Vicksburg-Warren County who are senior citizens, disabled or on a fixed income. We’re on our way to making Vicksburg-Warren County a place where no more unwanted kittens are born and ultimately euthanized. Call us today at 601-529-1535 or email to make an appointment to get the stray and feral cats you are feeding and caring for fixed.
